The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mr. Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, received his French counterpart, Mr. Jean-Noel Barrot, in the capital, Damascus.

During the meeting, issues of common concern and regional developments were discussed, and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria were also emphasized.
