As‘ad Ḥasan al-Shaybānī, from Banī Shaybān, was born in al-Ḥasakah Governorate in 1987. He moved with his family to live in Damascus, where he graduated in 2009 from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Damascus University, majoring in English Language and Literature.
He joined the Syrian revolution at its outset in 2011, witnessed every stage of it, and has remained committed ever since. He helped found the Syrian Salvation Government and established its Political Affairs Directorate. He has also worked extensively on the humanitarian side, forging strong relationships with the United Nations and its agencies and facilitating humanitarian operations in northwest Syria.
In 2022, he earned a master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations in Turkey, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in the same field. He has also completed the final phase of an MBA program at the American University.
