The validity period of power of attorney for acceptance and certification by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates: One year from the date of issuance of the power of attorney at our missions abroad
After certification by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it must be filed with the notary public as soon as possible
The document to be certified must be prepared for use within Syria
Applicant: When certifying power of attorney at the diplomatic missions that were issued by a notary public in the host countries, the concerned individual (the principal or the agent) must be present. However, for certifying general powers of attorney or those involving the sale of tangible assets, only the principal must be present.
The power of attorney must be issued from the country where the diplomatic mission is located or from one of the countries for which the mission is responsible, and it must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the host country.
