Syrian Foreign Minister Mr. Asaad Al-Shibani met with his Turkish counterpart, Mr. Hakan Fidan, in the Syrian capital, Damascus.

The two ministers discussed several important issues, including regional security, the return of Syrian refugees, and ways to support stability in Syria.

Minister Al-Shibani expressed his gratitude to the Turkish state and its kind people for their supportive stance toward the Syrian people over the past years.

For his part, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan affirmed his country's readiness to provide full support to the Syrian administration in all aspects. He emphasized the importance of international and Arab engagement with the new Syrian administration, noting that the time has come to take action in support of Syria’s stability and to respect the will of the Syrian people.
