Statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic extends its warmest congratulations to the government and people of the Republic of Türkiye on the occasion of Republic Day, marking the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic on October 29, 1923.

On this national occasion, the Syrian Arab Republic expresses its sincere greetings to the Turkish people, whom it regards as a close friend and neighbor with whom the Syrian people share deep historical, cultural, and humanitarian bonds. During the years of war, Türkiye demonstrated solidarity and a spirit of humanity toward Syrians who sought refuge within its borders.

The Ministry reaffirms the strength and depth of the relations between Syria and Türkiye, based on mutual respect, shared destiny, and a common aspiration to achieve stability and prosperity in the region. The Syrian Arab Republic values the spirit of cooperation and understanding that continues to guide relations between the two neighboring countries and looks forward to further strengthening their partnership in service of the interests of both friendly peoples.
