Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic
Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic
Damascus, 19 November 2025
The Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest possible terms the illegal visit by the Israeli Prime Minister, the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, and a number of other Israeli officials to southern Syria, regarding it as a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirms that this provocative visit constitutes a fresh attempt to impose a fait accompli in clear contravention of relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and is consistent with the occupation’s policy of entrenching its aggression and perpetuating its violations of Syrian territory.
The Syrian Arab Republic reiterates its unwavering demand for the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from all Syrian territory. Syria considers all measures taken by the occupying power in southern Syria to be null and void and devoid of any legal effect under international law.
The Ministry calls on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities, condemn and deter these occupation practices, and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria and return to strict compliance with the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement.
Syria reaffirms that it will continue to defend its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity by all legitimate means until the full restoration of its occupied lands.
