Syrian Arab Republic Welcomes The Final Lifting of "Caesar" Sanctions

Damascus, December 19, 2025 – The Syrian Arab Republic welcomes the final lifting of the Caesar Act and its associated measures, which impacted various aspects of daily life and the economy. This step is considered a significant development that will alleviate the burdens on the Syrian people and pave the way for a new phase of recovery and stability.

The Syrian Arab Republic expresses its gratitude to the United States of America and its appreciation to the brotherly and friendly nations that, through their positions and diplomatic efforts, have contributed to supporting the endeavors aimed at ending these sanctions, stemming from their commitment to regional stability and respect for the sovereignty and unity of the Syrian Arab Republic.
