Civil Status / Divorce Registration/

The service enables Syrian citizens or those considered such as to register the divorce that evented in the host countries at the diplomatic mission. Afterward, it is certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and then recorded with the civil status offices in the Syrian Arab Republic

Required documents


  • Original religious divorce document certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the divorce took place.
  • Copies of the personal identification cards or passports of the divorced husband and wife.
  • A recent family statement certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Syria.
  • Individual civil registration certificate for the Syrian wife married to a non-Syrian, showing her marital status (married).
