Statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic

Damascus, April 4, 2026 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic reaffirms its firm and unwavering position in rejecting any attack on or attempt to approach embassies and diplomatic missions accredited to the Syrian Arab Republic. The Ministry emphasizes that these missions are protected under international law and diplomatic agreements and are considered symbols of relations between states and peoples.

The Ministry also expresses its categorical rejection and condemnation of any slogans or actions that are offensive to states or that disrespect their symbols, stressing that such behavior contradicts the principles of mutual respect and international cooperation.

Within the framework of respecting citizens' rights to express their opinions, the Ministry emphasizes the importance of exercising this right within the framework of applicable laws and regulations, with full commitment to maintaining public security, and refraining from any practices that could disrupt stability or threaten or approach embassies and diplomatic missions accredited to the Syrian Arab Republic.
