Statement Issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syrian Arab Republic

Damascus, April 3, 2026 – The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the crime committed by the Israeli occupation forces, namely the targeting of a civilian vehicle with a tank shell in the village of Al-Za’rura in the Quneitra countryside, which resulted in the martyrdom of a civilian.

This attack constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and reflects the continuation of aggressive policies targeting civilians and endangering their lives, in clear violation of all international norms and conventions.

While expressing its condemnation of this crime, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates calls upon the international community to assume its legal and humanitarian responsibilities and to take immediate measures to stop these repeated violations.
