Damascus, December 26, 2025 – The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in Homs during Friday prayers, resulting in the death and injury of a number of innocent civilians.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirms that this cowardly and criminal act constitutes a blatant assault on human and moral values ​​and comes within the context of repeated desperate attempts to undermine security and stability and sow chaos among the Syrian people.

The Syrian Arab Republic reiterates its unwavering stance in combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and emphasizes that such crimes will not deter the Syrian state from continuing its efforts to consolidate security, protect its citizens, and hold those involved in these criminal acts accountable.

The Ministry extends its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured, affirming its full solidarity with the families of the victims in this painful tragedy and praying that God grants them patience and solace.
