The Syrian Arab Republic condemns the targeting of sites in the sisterly State of Kuwait

Damascus, April 25, 2026 – The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the targeting of two sites at the northern land border posts of the sisterly State of Kuwait by drones launched from the territory of the Republic of Iraq. This constitutes a blatant attack on the sovereignty of states and a threat to the security and stability of the region. Syria affirms its categorical rejection of all forms of violations that affect the security of sisterly states.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirms its full solidarity with the sisterly State of Kuwait in confronting these attacks and calls for taking the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such acts and to hold those responsible accountable in order to ensure the strengthening of security and stability in the region.
