Damascus, May 18, 2026 – The Syrian Arab Republic expresses its condemnation of the attempted attack on the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by drones launched from Iraqi territory, which the Ministry of Defense successfully intercepted and destroyed after they entered the Kingdom's airspace.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirms its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the face of these terrorist attacks, emphasizing that such attacks constitute a violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and a threat to the security and stability of the region.
