The Syrian Arab Republic Supports the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Initiative in Yemen

Damascus, December 26, 2025 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic is following with great interest the recent developments in the sisterly Republic of Yemen. It reaffirms its unwavering support for the unity, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Yemen, and its solidarity with the Yemeni people in their legitimate aspirations for security and stability.

The Syrian Arab Republic expresses its full support for the legitimate Yemeni government, led by the Presidential Leadership Council, and calls upon all Yemeni parties to exercise restraint, avoid escalation, prioritize dialogue, and place the supreme national interest above all else, thereby contributing to the preservation of the country’s unity, security, and stability.

In this context, Syria appreciates the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in coordination with the Yemeni government, to contain tensions and de-escalate the situation in several Yemeni governorates, and affirms its support for the statement issued by the Kingdom.

The Syrian Arab Republic reaffirms its support for all sincere Arab efforts that contribute to strengthening security, stability and development in Yemen, and achieve the interests of the brotherly Yemeni people and serve their aspirations for peace and prosperity.
