Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani met in Washington with a number of officials from the US Treasury Department, in the presence of US Special Envoy to Syria Thomas Barrack. During the meeting, they discussed ways to reconnect the Syrian economy to the global financial system in a responsible and secure manner, ensuring enhanced joint efforts to combat terrorist funding and this comes as part of the Foreign Minister's historic visit to the United States for extensive talks.
