Syrian and Indonesian Officials Meet in Jakarta to Strengthen Cooperation and Support Syria’s Reconstruction

The Director of the Department of Afro-Asian and Oceania Affairs, Mr. Zakria Lababidy, held a meeting with Mr. Muhammad Anis Matta, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia for Islamic Affairs, in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. During the meeting, Mr. Lababidy expressed his appreciation for Indonesia’s experience in achieving national harmony and outlined the Syrian government’s policy directions to establish a united and stable country, focusing on reconstruction and restoring its role in the Arab, regional, and international arenas.

In this context, Mr. Matta affirmed his country’s readiness to support Syria in overcoming current challenges, stressing the importance of establishing a joint consultation committee between the two countries.
