Damascus, December 5, 2025. The Syrian Arab Republic welcomes the Canadian government's decision to lift sanctions imposed on Syria, and considers this step a positive development that reflects a growing awareness of the negative impact of sanctions on the lives of the Syrian people and its vital sectors.
