The Syrian Arab Republic condemns the targeting of UAE territory

Damascus, May 5, 2026 – The Syrian Arab Republic condemns the targeting of the territory of the sisterly United Arab Emirates by Iranian drones, which resulted in casualties.

While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirms Syria’s full solidarity and support for the sisterly United Arab Emirates, it stresses its categorical rejection of any action that threatens the security and stability of the region.

The Syrian Arab Republic reiterates its firm position calling for the need to respect the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, foremost among which is respect for the sovereignty of states.
