Minister Al-Shaibani Participates in the AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies in Saudi Arabia

On Sunday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mr. Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, participated in the AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies, held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the Minister’s participation, discussions focused on lifting the sanctions imposed on Syria and outlining a roadmap for the country’s economic recovery and sustainable growth.

The participants also discussed the restoration of ties between the Central Bank of Syria and the international financial system, as well as Syria’s representation in the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the technical assistance these institutions could provide to support Syria’s economy.
